Central Baptist Church

KAOD was challenged with the renovation and restoration of this magnificent and historic Neo-Gothic Structure. This effort included the installation of a strategically placed elevator in a manner that complemented the original granite and stucco façade. Additionally the new design dramatically improved the circulation and fire safety quality of the complex floor plans of all three floors. Because of the success of the initial design scope, KAOD was contacted to create an overall renovation of the interior of the historic building which is approximately 58,000 square feet in three interconnected but uniquely different structures. The project’s results made the entire facility much more functional, safe and comfortable for its congregation.
